Mark Ramthun, General Manager and Indianola Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees Indianola, IA 50125
Dear Mark and IMU Trustees:
The Indianola CITA (Community Information Technology & Access) group wishes to thank you for supporting our request at the recent IMU board meeting! Your agreement to insert a telecommunications survey in the September 2000 mailing to all Indianola residents, and to cover the printing and return postage costs of the surveys, will greatly assist in our goal of assessing technology needs and increasing awareness of telecommunications issues in our community.
As indicated during the meeting, we will seek a cost-effective approach to the printing and return of the surveys, including offering several places throughout the community where the completed surveys can be dropped off. We anticipate an improved return rate with the opportunity for respondents to return the surveys postage-paid, however, so appreciate your making that option possible. When we have prepared a draft survey, a copy will be provided to you for your review and input. We recognize that the information obtained from residents will be of significant interest to you, and welcome your collaboration in drafting a survey that will generate the feedback we all want and need.
Project CITA is composed of a variety of individuals and organizations with the intent of developing local capacity to allow citizens to utilize computer and telecommunications resources. We plan to promote the technological amenities in place or soon to be in place in Indianola through the efforts of IMU and other community institutions such as the schools and Warren County, and to find ways to augment these amenities through grant writing and training. Thank you for your role as an important partner in this initiative!
Sincerely,
CITA Members
