- Purpose: This community center has been set aside for any area resident (outlying communities welcome), former resident, transient resident, honorary resident, visitor, or upcoming resident to discuss issues, have fun, share common interests, etc. There are very few avenues left in this world of ours to come together as a community, on anything, and virtually no ways to do so in a two-way or multi-way dialogue... without big delays. That's what this is for.
- Iron Clad Rules:
- This is established as a place of civilized discussion. By entering this community center, you pledge to address one another with respect, civility and wholesome speech, even in matters of disagreement. Rudeness or off-color language will not be tolerated. Plain and simple, violators will be kicked off the site. As a rule of thumb, think of this as a site that a teacher of first or second graders could use as a lesson in community civics.
- Absolutely NO selling will be allowed in the dialogue topics. Nobody wants to wade through garbage to get to meaty messages. Advertising is reserved for the Classifieds area.
- Duplicates of the same message are not allowed. Pick the most appropriate topic, and put the message there.
- Cost: The long term plan is for this to remain totally free to users, (with the exception of posting classifieds, to help offset the costs of providing all this.)
- Caveat: However, this is unequivocally a private site, which happens to have invited the public. We make no pretense of being all things to all people, nor do we commit to any provision for equal time. If you don't like the wholesome rules here, you don't have to come back; there are many other sites on the web and surely you will find one that meets your needs. As for everybody else, relax and make yourself at home.
If you understand these rules and provisions, and agree to comply, you are invited to participate in this Community Center.
